Raven Wilde has been the Director of The Crown Ballroom since 1999. Raven not only brings to the party an eye for great

design and a keen sense of celebration, but adds dramatically to The Crown's reputation with her attention to detail,

excellent customer service and broad smile. As Director of The Crown, Raven also offers valuable assistance to

Crown Brides in Wedding Coordination Services and acting as a liaison to catering.

For the past 5 years, she and Julian have been photographing some of the most beautiful weddings for their clients at

The Crown Ballroom. Working alongside her creative partner and husband Julian Wilde, Raven is also responsible for

much of the Design and ambiance that makes The Crown such an entertaining and enjoyable destination venue.

After 12 years of shooting fashion and advertising nationally, Julian found himself “quite by accident” working and living in

Portland. During this time he was also hosting large scale private parties in Seattle and San Francisco, and Julian took what

He’d learned from these various adventures and created The Crown Ballroom & Garden Court in 1993. With commanding

views from the private penthouse floor of The Pythian Building, “The Crown” quickly became one of Portland’s most sought

after and photographed venues. Over the years Julian has “choreographed every square foot” of the Crown’s 10,000 square

feet, to serve both his creative photography needs and the ever-growing needs of the private and corporate party industries.

While working as a Producer and Artistic Director on numerous projects, including Katie “Miss America” Harmon’s operatic CD

and video, Julian’s creative eye has never left his fine art photography. Also evidenced by his popular ongoing gallery exhibits

and newest DVD offerings, titled “Entourage,” “WildeBeauty” and “The Dream Oracle.”
